Your library and video don’t go to Beebo. Beebo’s servers handle sign-in and introductions, and a few optional features talk to other services, which this page lists. It is a plain-language summary and not a legal document: the privacy policy has the formal terms.

What stays on your PC
- Your movies, shows and music, and their file names.
- Who has watched what: watch history, viewing profiles and parental settings.
- Photo backups from your phone.
- Saved secrets such as your TMDB key, OpenSubtitles password and email app password. They are encrypted using the PC’s own keystore.
- If you use a relay, it passes along locked packets. Beebo Relay cannot read your video.
What Beebo’s service handles
Beebo runs a small service (beebo.tv) that does the introductions. It handles your Beebo account email and sign-in, your yourname.beebo.tv name, and setting up the connection between your phone and your PC. That includes connection details such as internet (IP) addresses, and, for away-from-home sign-in, your household members’ usernames with scrambled passes rather than plain passwords. It also handles subscriptions and payments for the paid options. Video and your library go straight between your devices, or through a relay if you chose one; they do not go through this service.
The Beebo Android app and desktop app contain no advertising or third-party analytics, crash-reporting or tracking components that we know of. The Android app does include Google’s own casting and Play components, which are closed-source, so we cannot describe everything they do.

Campsite Mode’s guest server runs on the local Wi-Fi and makes no internet requests, but the rest of the app is not offline while it runs. Scavenger Hunt reads your location while its screen is open and can share finds through a Beebo hub if you connect one. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google can see a visit to these pages; it uses no analytics scripts.

Use Beebo normally for a while
Sign in, play something and open a few pages. For a clean test, leave the TMDB key, OpenSubtitles account and email settings empty.

With those left empty, we expect a Beebo PC to talk mainly to
